Club Championship
Club Championship 2026/2027
Each year, we aim to adapt and improve the Championship to suit our runners. With this in mind, we have made a few tweaks to last years format, information for which is below:
There will be 2 disciplines
-
Road
-
Trail
For the Bill Noble overall champion:
Participants need to complete a MINIMUM of 6 races (to include at least 1 trail and 1 road), as an example, you could completed 5 road, and 1 trail, or 4 trail and 2 road etc.
There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female as well as a momento to those who complete the allotted number of races.
Prizes will also be awarded per discipline:
Best male and female in each discipline of road and/or trail
A MAXIMUM of 5 races in either discipline will count towards the score. For individual discipline, there is no minimum number of races.
Result will be based on your position in the race:
1st Beagle home receiving 20 points, 2nd place - 17 points, 3rd - 15 points, 4th - 14 points, 5th - 13 points and so on.
10 road and 10 trail races (including 2 park runs) to choose from, spread over the year.
You must be a affiliated member and enter as a Bentham Beagle to participate in the championship.
We will continue to have Park Runs in our calendar but these will be a “social” event (apart from the 2 included in the main championship).
These park runs, where possible, will be on the first or third Saturday of every month.
There won’t be any prizes for these, but we will have targets to aim for - watch this space for those challenges.
We will also have a “social calendar”. These races will not count towards the championship, but are events that are highly recommended for a fun Beagle outing! We will update this throughout the year but here is a selection to get you started:
